Literary Pitfalls

I'm addicted to books that make me keenly aware of how lonely I am. It's really depressing.

But I just can't stop.

Awesome. Can I come over and play? I've been feeling mighty playful lately, and when I don't have laughter outlets and I feel that way, I start crying. It's awkward. Real awkward.

As for Katie... well. Friendships other than ours are like plants... sometimes after a long drought, even a deluge can't bring them back to life.

(By the the way, the emphasis in "deluge" is on FIRST syllable, not the second. It's okay; it's a common enough mistake.)

Ugh. And this is the book I'm supposed to spend all weekend frantically reading? And I'm just going to end up feeling lonely?

Just watch more Scrubs and Beauty and the Geek with me. And the Office, OF COURSE. That will give you plenty of laughter outlets.

No, I changed my mind about the book.

READ IT. I am NOT going to this book club- that YOU helped set up, I might add- and have to do all the talking cuz you didn't read ALL MONTH LONG. Shame on you. And I did it while going to two schools fulltime, taking tests, doing homework, writing papers.

You better read. or I will make you suffer in some small, secretive way. It's a good book, though. Strange, but good I think.
